This course introduces basic logic gates and latches/flip-flops, analysis of the input-output characteristics of the gates and latches/flip-flops, and their interconnection to provide digital systems building blocks, such as, half and full adders/subtractors, registers and counters. Included is the use of Boolean algebra, DeMorgan’s theorem and K-maps and evaluation of IC digital logic families PLD’s and PROMS.
